My topic is about privatization causing a set of social problems throughout society and people becoming restricted due to debit.  Student who can pay for college or get financial aid are envied by those who cannot or struggle to pay. This causes the two groups to look at each other differently and to gain a dislike from each other. The less fortunate students who struggle to pay and must take out loads probably hold the most envy because in the future they will be financially stuck. As explained by Ilgunas, “Debt narrows our options. It gives us a good reason to stick it out at a job, sink into sofas, and savor the comforts of the status quo” (p. 167). This forces them to settle for the little success they can achieve.

My topic has not changed I am still interested in writing about Greek life. I am looking to write about the positive aspects and how it benefits individuals. Usually Greek life is only recognized for the negative things occurrences. With that being said, I want to write a paper to uplift its reputation. I did some research and came across websites and articles that will help defend my point of view. They talk about the man leaders that have rose from Greek life such as presidents. Also providing many statistics on what the media never talks about. The one problem I have come across is that the negative articles outnumber the positive ones by a lot.

I honestly have no idea what I am going to write about for my final paper. Although I do have a few topics that I am thinking about writing on. My first topic is comparing how successful students are who are in social rather than business fraternities. Another topic I am interested in is why people join greek life and why they are willing to do some of the outrageous things to be apart of that organization. The last topic is to discuss the many disagreements that surrounds greek life. Constantly we always hear the negative things about greek life from the perspective of a non greek. As you can see im very intrested in greek life and the controversies that follow it.
