My topic has not changed I am still interested in writing about Greek life. I am looking to write about the positive aspects and how it benefits individuals. Usually Greek life is only recognized for the negative things occurrences. With that being said, I want to write a paper to uplift its reputation. I did some research and came across websites and articles that will help defend my point of view. They talk about the man leaders that have rose from Greek life such as presidents. Also providing many statistics on what the media never talks about. The one problem I have come across is that the negative articles outnumber the positive ones by a lot.

  1. There is some good research to support the idea that fraternity and sorority members have good long term success. But an interesting question is how much of that success comes from what they get out of Greek life, and how much does that success reflect the selection processes that Greek organizations have in place? See Armstrong and Hamilton for some ideas about that.

  2. The most important thing to remember is that you should not try to write a paper "defending Greek life" -- you should write a paper on some aspect of Greek life that lends itself to research and analysis. The sources you have cited so far represent typical defensive reactions in student newspapers and blogs. They do not suggest avenues for real research.
